Born from the Combined Army’s Inter-Species Technological Cooperation Program, the Sartroids embody a radical combat doctrine summed up by a chilling philosophy: “Better beasts that die than men that flee.” These crustacean-like remote tactical units are deployed to the front lines as fearless, relentless shock troops that never retreat. Their hybrid design of biotechnology and automation makes them unpredictable yet highly effective instruments of war.
The Sartroid Ranter and Sartroid Puzzler serve complementary battlefield roles within the Next Wave forces. The Ranter functions as a forward fire platform, delivering sustained firepower during frontline engagements. The Puzzler specializes in infiltration and disruption, targeting enemy technological systems and control infrastructure. Together, they form a versatile pair capable of adapting to a wide range of combat scenarios, from direct assaults to tactical harassment operations.
This box includes two thermoplastic resin miniatures from the Infinity range, representing a new generation of intelligent remotes capable of operating with or without human oversight. Thanks to the special Cyberplug skill, Sartroids can function as standard synchronized remotes or operate fully autonomously if their controller is neutralized or deployment conditions require it. This unique mechanic makes them an excellent expansion for Next Wave forces, particularly for players starting their army with the Next Wave Action Pack.
