Mounthaven Warriors

The Rifle configuration gives the Warriors access to ranged attacks at up to 12 strides. This allows them to pressure enemy units from a distance and contribute to the battle without immediately committing to close combat.

For a more aggressive approach, switch to the Two-handed Axe. When the Warriors charge or make an assault with this weapon, they can inflict the Vulnerable status, creating an opportunity to increase the damage dealt by subsequent attacks. If holding ground is more important, the Axe and Shield configuration takes a different approach. When the Mounthaven Warriors are targeted by a charge, their attacker receives the Disarmed status, making a direct assault against the unit considerably more difficult to execute effectively.

Their high resilience makes them well suited to remaining in contested areas, although their limited movement means that positioning matters. Their low Morale is another consideration, making character support valuable when you need the unit to remain dependable throughout the battle.

With three distinct ways to equip them, Mounthaven Warriors can adapt their battlefield role rather than being locked into a single approach. Use the Rifle to apply pressure from range, the Two-handed Axe to exploit vulnerable targets, or the Axe and Shield to make an important position harder to assault. Character support can then help offset their low Morale and keep the unit operating at full effectiveness.
