Chess Clock for Competitive Games

It is particularly useful for competitive Warhammer 40,000, including 11th Edition games and events following World Team Championship (WTC) procedures. The clock can also be used for timed games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Warhammer: The Old World and other miniature wargames. Always follow the specific timing rules established by your tournament organiser or agreed upon by both players.

One shared clock, two independent timers

Both players use the same device, with a separate countdown for each side. Your timer runs while you make decisions and carry out your actions. When your opponent needs to play, pass the clock over so their countdown becomes active. This exchange can happen several times during a single game turn, depending on the rules agreed upon. The remaining time is visible to both players, making it easier to manage decisions and avoid spending too long on individual actions.

For practice games, simply agree on a total playing time and divide it equally between both players. In organised competition, use the time allocation and procedures specified by the event, including any rules covering deployment, breaks and referee intervention.

A dedicated timer for competitive gaming

Using a physical chess clock also leaves your phone free for checking army lists, looking up rules or recording scores. Position the device somewhere both players can easily see and reach it, allowing the timer to be passed between turns without disturbing miniatures or terrain.
