Developed long ago in the breeding pits beneath the city, the Praklicore is a critical success but a commercial failure. It looks like a lion covered in quills like a porcupine. It has "wings" that do not allow it to fly but enable it to launch its quills over long distances with considerable force. To make matters worse, the quills secrete a toxin that poisons most creatures.
The combination of strength, power, and speed with a ranged poisonous weapon makes the Praklicore a formidable opponent, but its hideous appearance hurt its popularity. It is unknown how many Praklicores have survived to the present day, but they must breed in the tunnels beneath the city, as occasionally one emerges from the darkness to hunt.
