Although not made of blood, their deep red to reddish-brown color gives them a deceptive appearance. These predators suffocate their prey and are extremely resilient, being immune to most weapons and capable of temporarily splitting and acting independently before reforming.

In the old city, a few wealthy wizards keep Blood Waves in sealed jars for decoration and to manipulate them.
