Hundred Kingdoms - Might of the Orders - Warbands of Legend Conquest First Blood

Scarring around these foreign objects indicates that they were deliberately implanted. The metallic specimens vary in size, although none examined so far exceeded one inch in length or half an inch in thickness. One implant recovered from subject number five was remarkably thin, no thicker than a carefully crafted needle.

More disturbing is what happens after implantation. Each object appears to fuse with its host, developing along the body's major vascular and neural networks. The resulting filaments possess extreme strength and flexibility, resisting every attempt to sever them except when heavy weapons are used with maximum force.

The material itself remains unidentified, although it shares several characteristics with silubaster. The growth of these filaments does not appear to depend on how long the implant has been present, and varies considerably from one individual to another. Whatever their origin, the phenomenon accompanies warriors whose capabilities clearly exceed those of ordinary humans.
