Veterans

The Veterans of the Guard have seen it all. Horrors far more terrifying than Wildlings lurk beyond the Wall, and these hardened warriors have survived foes against which other units would have flinched. In the greatest conflicts, the Veterans of the Guard are a pillar of resistance, bravely advancing into the front line and holding their ground against the fiercest assaults. They represent the elite of any Night's Watch army. Although they are heavy infantry, they can be put to the test by a determined enemy. However, with careful planning and well-organised formations, a wise commander can turn the Veterans into the spearhead of his army or deploy them as a front as impenetrable as the Wall itself.
