Italian Army 100/17 Modello 14 Medium Artillery
The 100/17 Modello 14 was a medium howitzer designed by Skoda and formed a major component of the Italian artillery arsenal during World War II. While the Italian artillery inventory was often outdated and inconsistent, Italian gunners were highly trained and made the most of what they had, turning even older equipment into a deadly threat through skill and courage.
On the Eastern Front, the bravery of Italian artillerymen became legendary. Crews frequently used their guns in direct fire mode, aiming over open sights against oncoming Soviet forces. These desperate measures were a testament to their determination to hold the line, even under the most intense pressure, and added to the fierce reputation of Italian field artillery units.
This set includes one metal 100/17 Modello 14 howitzer with four metal crew members, capturing a realistic artillery deployment scene. An MDF base is also included. Ideal for use in Bolt Action Italian armies, this howitzer brings crucial indirect fire support to the battlefield, capable of disrupting enemy formations and providing cover for advancing troops. Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
