Pale Flesh is an acrylic paint from Green Stuff World’s Air Formula range, formulated for use with airbrushes and refillable acrylic markers. Its highly fluid consistency produces a fine, even spray while providing the control needed to build up colour gradually across surfaces and details. Ready to use straight from the bottle, it requires no prior thinning before airbrushing.
The formulation works particularly well when colour is developed through thin successive coats. On miniatures, scale models, vehicles or wargaming scenery, Pale Flesh can be built up to achieve smooth, even coverage while retaining the definition of the underlying forms. With an airbrush, highlights, shadows, gradients and soft transitions can be developed by adjusting air pressure, spraying distance and trigger opening according to the level of control required.
For extended painting sessions, Air Formula is designed to encourage consistent atomization and help reduce clogging. The bottle combines a flip-top cap with a dropper-style dispenser, making it easy to control the amount of paint and add it directly to the airbrush cup. This allows the colour to be dispensed cleanly and accurately throughout the painting process.
Pale Flesh can also be incorporated into workflows using different application methods. The paint can be added directly to refillable acrylic markers without prior dilution for lines, outlines, markings, details and freehand work. Applied with a brush, it can be used for thin coats, glazes, blending and soft gradients. Its matte finish also provides a suitable surface for washes, filters, drybrushing and other common modelling techniques. Shake well before use to properly homogenise the pigments.
