Ultraviolet Resin 30ml - Toxic Effect
GSW offers a new alternative to artists and modellers wishing to create toxic effects with this Ultraviolet Resin - Toxic Effect.
As fluorescent pigments are more difficult to mix with conventional UV resin, we have developed a specific formulation that perfectly integrates the fluorescent pigments with the UV resin. Ideal for producing fluorescent toxic effects such as nuclear or radioactive waste, this resin can be used on its own or combined with conventional transparent resin.
It is perfect for representing seawater, rivers, lakes, ponds or puddles. This product offers a number of advantages over traditional methods of creating aquatic effects:
- Ultra-fast-drying gel: when combined with a UV lamp, the product dries in 2 to 4 minutes. When exposed to sunlight, it dries in 5 to 10 minutes, and under cloudy skies, in 20 to 40 minutes.
- Does not shrink: the quantity applied remains constant after drying.
- Compatible with multiple coats: for submerged effects, several coats can be superimposed without leaving visible marks.
- Easy to cut, polish and work: the resin can be shaped and sculpted to suit your needs.
- Capacity: 30 ml.
When in a liquid state, a heat gun or kitchen lighter can be used to eliminate air bubbles.
The resin remains in a gel state as long as it is not exposed to natural or ultraviolet light.
Avoid exposing the inside of the bottle to natural light to prevent crystallisation of the gel.
Precautions for using UV resin :
- Environmental conditions may influence the properties of the material. We recommend using the product in a dry, well-ventilated environment at a temperature of between 18°C and 25°C. Extreme temperature variations can alter the quality of the product.
- If used in inappropriate conditions, insufficient exposure to UV rays or low light intensity, the hardened surface may remain sticky or rough to the touch. Extend UV exposure or apply a gloss varnish to correct this problem.
- We recommend using the product within 10 months of purchase. Shelf life may vary after opening depending on storage conditions and exposure.
