8th Army Support Group (HQ, Mortar & MMG)

The 8th Army HQ features a commanding officer, typically from Britain’s upper-middle class, accompanied by up to two attendants. Educated in the traditions of empire and trained in leadership, these officers bring confidence and discipline to your forces. On the battlefield, they play a crucial role in issuing orders and coordinating actions. Supporting fire comes from the .303 Vickers medium machine gun team – a water-cooled weapon of WWI origin that proved effective throughout WWII thanks to its ability to deliver sustained fire over long distances.

The 3-inch medium mortar team rounds out the set, providing invaluable indirect fire support. With a maximum range of up to 3,000 yards depending on ammunition type, the mortar was typically crewed by three soldiers and often transported using a Universal Carrier. In Bolt Action, this translates into flexible firepower capable of targeting entrenched enemies or breaking defensive lines. All models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
