Few armoured vehicles embody Soviet military doctrine as clearly as the T-34. The 1944 upgrade introduced the T-34/85, equipped with a powerful 85 mm ZiS-S-53 gun that gave Soviet forces an effective answer to the heavy tanks fielded by the Axis. This improved firepower helped maintain the T-34’s relevance as the war progressed.
The modernised design also benefited from a five-man crew, improving the tank’s operational efficiency. Combined with its balanced mix of firepower, armour and manoeuvrability, this made the T-34/85 a crucial component of Soviet armoured formations. Its practical design and adaptability continued to support the Red Army’s operations across multiple fronts.
The T-34/ZP variant adds a distinctive feature: a turret-mounted Zvukovoy Proeyektor, or sound projector. Following the successful development of this device, the T-34/ZP could be introduced into service in increasing numbers. This specialised version offers another option for representing Soviet armour during the Second World War.
The box contains one plastic T-34 tank with additional resin components, including Warlord Resin parts. It makes a useful addition to a Soviet armoured force, bringing the familiar combination of mobility, protection and heavy firepower to your historical tabletop battles.
