The inception of Pycrete, obtained by the Knight-Luminary Herman Mark, facilitated the creation of the very first Ice Maiden. Initially met with skepticism, the idea of a ship carved from an iceberg gained traction after initial tests, warranting further exploration. The inaugural prototype, named the Eiskalte Schoenheit, lacked some of the later technologies but showcased unique size and sea strength, asserting dominance in naval engagements.
Exceeding 100,000 tonnes in displacement and manned by over 6,000 crew members, the Ice Maiden Dreadnought Super-Carriers stand as the Imperium's largest vessels. Each boasts a complement of sixty Messer strike fighters, a dozen Blitzen Bombers, and ample supplies to support varied sorties whenever required.
The SMS Prinzessin Wilhelmina, flagship of the First Atlantic Fleet and pride of the Königlich Preußische Marine, is an imposing vessel named after the Kaiser's eldest daughter and heir to the Imperial Throne. It unleashes a particularly potent version of the infamous 'Kaiser Salute' with its six Heavy Volt Gun Batteries.
During naval actions involving these colossal constructions, they are inevitably flanked by an array of smaller support vessels and frontline cruisers, safeguarding the behemoth against smaller, swifter enemy crafts. The Ice Maiden's bow-mounted weaponry can swiftly adapt to suit the specific mission, a trait shared with numerous other ships in the Imperium Navy.
The Ice Maiden Battlefleet Set kit comprises nineteen multi-part resin miniatures:
