City States: Satyroi

Nowhere in City-State society is their ambivalent relationship with the Bred more evident than with the Selinoi and Satyroi. A near-perfect blend of man and goat, the Bred have proved to be the most robust and adaptable of the survivors. Intelligent, fast and resistant, they quickly distinguished themselves in their tasks, which brought them into conflict with humans and targeted them during the purges during the Fall. Today, those who have survived have done so by learning to coexist with humanity or avoiding it as much as possible. Unlike the peaceful Selinoi, the Satyroi have descended into anger, hatred and violence. Kidnappers, extortionists, consummate thugs and dangerous gang members, the most dangerous Satyroi are often forcibly conscripted into the army, where their combat skills and unbridled ferocity make them unrivalled scouts.

Deadly in close combat, these battle-hardened guerrilla troops lie in ambush, waiting for the perfect moment to strike at the flanks and rear of any Enemy Regiment bold enough to attempt to outflank the City-States' phalanx lines.
