City States: Selinoi

Nowhere in City-State society is their ambivalent relationship with the Bred more evident than with the Selinoi. A near-perfect blend of man and goat, the Selinoi have proved to be the most robust and adaptable of the surviving Bred. Intelligent, fast and resilient, they quickly distinguished themselves in their tasks, which brought them into conflict with humans and targeted them during the purges during the Fall. Today, the Selinoi who have survived have done so by learning to coexist with humanity or avoiding it as much as possible.

Selinoi hunters avoid the crowded streets of city-states, preferring to roam the deep forests and wild lands that invariably form around cities. Their bushcraft and hunting skills make them invaluable scouts for City-States, and their presence is tolerated and sometimes even encouraged, if only to ensure these skilled scouts are part of the city's forces.

Experienced trackers and hunters, Selinoi exert pressure on enemy regiments from a distance not only through their reliable firepower, but also thanks to their natural resistance to enemy fire.
