The Agema are, without doubt, the best fighters available to a city-state commander. They are invariably the personal guard of rulers, tyrants and council members. Armed, protected and upgraded to the highest standards a ruler can afford, the idea of failure or defeat is anathema to these elite soldiers, who are trained to fight and win on any battlefield, under any circumstances.

Their Fighting Style

Agema are veterans and the best warriors selected from the ranks of the Thorakites. They retain the same mobility and flexibility while benefiting from improved stats, at a cost. Place the Agema in your Strategic Formation and combine their activation with a retreating Hoplite/Phalangite regiment. Where the Hoplites/Phalangites retreat, the Agema can immediately take advantage of these openings in the enemy lines by charging through!
