The 105mm howitzer played a crucial role in German artillery during World War II, used both to support attacks and to break up enemy assaults. It was primarily employed at the divisional level by the Afrika Korps, and the fast-moving battlefields of the Western Desert often placed it close to the frontline for direct and effective fire support.

In Bolt Action, this is classified as a Medium Howitzer and can be included in Artillery Platoons. It can be towed by a range of vehicles, offering great tactical mobility.
