Leontarch: Lion Heart or Lion Soul are among the oldest compliments paid to a courageous leader in all human cultures, and this goes back long before the days of the Old Dominion. So it's hardly surprising that the title of Leontarch, Lord of the Lions, is the highest honour a City-State can bestow on its leaders.  

The mechanical lion steed, an engineering marvel powered by a phlogiston engine, was given to him in recognition of his achievements. Yet despite the ingenuity and know-how it embodies, this artefact almost takes a back seat to the nobility of the title itself.
