Spires: Vanguard Clones

Unlike Raw and Forced Growth Drones, Vanguard Clones are not grown in breeding pits deep within the Underspire. Woven from 100% pure exile tissue, their strands are enhanced and woven to produce superior specimens.

Those who survive a brutal selection process undergo a rigorous training regime to join the regiments of the Vanguard. This initial training programme focused on physical development and martial arts training. By the end of their third year of conditioning and training, a Vanguard clone is equally comfortable killing with bows, swiftbows, blades and limbs. Their training emphasises dodging and speed over brute strength, but raised to peak physical condition and trained in combat for three years, the average Vanguard Clone is more than capable of competing with a veteran man-at-arms, able to take on the elite fighters of the Dweghom and W'adrhŭn.
