By the closing stages of the Second World War, British and Canadian forces had refined combined-arms warfare into a highly effective battlefield doctrine. Infantry, armour, artillery, and support weapons worked together with remarkable efficiency, creating a fighting force capable of overcoming complex tactical challenges. The For King & Country Starter Army captures that battlefield philosophy in a single comprehensive Bolt Action collection.
Designed as a complete force straight out of the box, this starter set provides everything needed to field a fully legal British or Canadian army for Bolt Action Third Edition. Combining infantry, armour, artillery, and support elements, it offers a balanced force that can immediately take to the tabletop while leaving plenty of room for future expansion.
The core of the army consists of 36 plastic infantry equipped with rifles, light machine guns, light mortars, and PIAT anti-tank weapons. These troops form a versatile Rifle Platoon capable of tackling a wide variety of battlefield objectives and mission types.
The armoured contingent provides both mobility and striking power. The Cromwell delivers dependable battlefield support, while the Humber excels in reconnaissance and rapid manoeuvre. Backing them up, the 6-pounder anti-tank gun and heavy weapons teams ensure the army can respond effectively to enemy armour and infantry alike.
One of the set’s greatest strengths is its flexibility. The infantry and weapon crews share compatible components, allowing hobbyists to customise poses, equipment, and unit appearances to create a force that reflects their chosen regiment or theatre of operations.
Whether you're beginning your first Bolt Action collection or expanding an existing Allied force, For King & Country offers an outstanding combination of modelling potential, historical character, and battlefield versatility.
Models supplied unassembled and unpainted.
