Sultanate Support Squadrons
The flight team aboard Constantinople Carriers takes immense pride in their duty. There's a saying among them that "the bond between wingmen is stronger than family ties," and indeed, these pilots live by it. In the midst of aerial combat, they operate as a tight-knit family, knowing they can solely rely on each other once the battle commences, a fact they ensure outsiders acknowledge.
The Mihrimah Flechette Cruiser is armed with a distinctive weapon unique to the Sultanate—a capability to unleash a barrage of Orichalcite Flechettes from its artillery onto a target. These razor-thin fragments, light and incredibly sharp, can penetrate steel hulls in close quarters, yet their effectiveness diminishes at longer ranges due to air resistance. While they inflict damage on cruisers, they are especially lethal against squadrons of smaller vessels. A cloud of flechettes easily engulfs multiple ships, tearing through steel and flesh alike.
While the Ferik escort skiffs of the Sultanate are omnipresent in their battlefleets, they require frequent maintenance to keep their repulsion engines operational. This is where the Konya proves invaluable. Featuring a bay at the ship's fore, the Konya accommodates loading a skiff for repairs. Despite lacking firepower, a commodore always values having a Konya nearby.
An Aydin Supply Cruiser brings relief to other crews. The assurance of not running out of essential supplies at a moment's notice significantly boosts morale. For this reason alone, these supply cruisers are continuously on the move, traversing from fleet to fleet, only returning ashore to restock their own provisions.
As tensions heighten, Morea Minelayers have become more prevalent. Sultanate commanders recognize the imperative of safeguarding their global holdings at any cost, while Order advisors advocate that any means to advance the greater good is essential. Though the Sultanate's merchant navy may harbor aversion toward sea mining, they are gradually exposed to narratives that illustrate the vital importance of these operations.
The Sultanate Support Squadrons kit comprises six multi-part plastic miniatures:
2x Support Cruisers. Each Support Cruiser can alternatively be assembled as Constantinople, Mihrimah, Konya, Aydin, or Morea Class ships
