Due in no small part to the East India Trading Company, The Crown's influence extended across vast expanses of the world. Consequently, it became imperative for them to vigorously defend their territories, preventing the risk of blockades or more dire consequences for their colonies. In pursuit of this objective, a strategic alliance was forged with the House of Scindia in the Gwalior Princely State. This partnership resulted in the integration of locally crafted and specialized vessels into The Crown's fleets in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, as well as the East India Trading Company.

Among these vessels, the Ganges Battle Cruiser and Devaki Littoral Monitor emerged as indispensable, proving highly effective in coastal engagements. Despite their seemingly modest features, such as a shallow draft and a design reminiscent of an earlier era of Crown industry, these ships are far from ill-suited for the challenges of warfare in the Dystopian Age. Given the constant threats posed by local revolutions and piracy in the scattered territories, these vessels find themselves frequently thrust into action.

A deliberate engineering focus on shipbuilding fundamentals has rendered the task of maintaining an operational fleet much more practical. These warships spend, on average, one-third less time out of action than their British counterparts and nearly fifty percent less compared to the Canadians, attesting to their reliability and resilience.
