The Gruntas, massive, irascible swine creatures, embody a strength and fury that even the Orruks respect. They can trample and devour anything that gets in their way, much to the delight of the Ironjawz, who happily ride on their backs, permeated by bewitching scents. These voracious Gruntas are capable of gobbling up almost anything, including metal (not because they prefer it, but because their prey carry it with them). The orruks then recover this regurgitated or excreted metal, known as ‘clinker’, to make weapons and armour. A timely charge of Gore-gruntas can pulverise enemy ranks in a tumult of hooves, tusks and foul-smelling flatulence.
