Korean War: Chinese Pva Smg Squad
Taking inspiration from their Soviet allies, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Army adopted the proven tactics of massed submachine gun assaults. Within a typical PVA rifle company, two submachine gun squads were assigned to the company headquarters, ready to deliver concentrated firepower wherever it was needed. These squads served in versatile roles—scouting ahead, providing security for the main body, leading attacks, or being redistributed by commanders for tactical flexibility.
Armed with a mix of iconic weapons, these troops wielded both the Soviet PPSh-41—famed for its high rate of fire—and the WWII-era US Thompson submachine gun, supplied through wartime surplus. Together, they formed a deadly close-quarters force capable of turning the tide in tight engagements.
This box includes nine metal infantry figures equipped with submachine guns, complete with plastic bases. Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
