Korean War: North Korean Kpa Weapons Teams

🔹 Anti-Tank Rifles (ATR)

Despite becoming obsolete in other armies, the KPA continued using the PTRD and PTRS 14.5mm rifles under Soviet training. Effective against light armour and fortified positions, ATR squads included three rifles with dedicated gunners and loaders.

🔹 Flamethrowers
The ROKS-2 flamethrower, designed to appear like a backpack and rifle, saw wide use. Given the lack of other reliable AT weapons, doctrine emphasized flamethrowers for both anti-infantry and anti-tank roles.

🔹 50mm Light Mortar (50-PM 40)
This company-level support weapon, of Soviet design, could deliver HE or smoke shells beyond 800 yards. Initially issued per platoon, it was later massed at company level for concentrated fire support.
