Amidst the crucible of the Ore War, the Union found itself compelled to undergo a transformative shift, evolving into a nation that fervently industrialized the production of weapons and war engines at an unparalleled pace. While the conflict predominantly raged on land, the Union's naval fleets remained notably outgunned when compared to their adversaries. Fueled by a fervent belief in manifest destiny, the Union cast its gaze beyond its borders, envisioning the covetous gazes of rival power blocs and their age-old nemesis, The Crown, as they regarded this burgeoning American colony.
To secure their rightful place on the global stage, the Union embarked on a mission to develop and construct a formidable fleet of ships, intended to safeguard their shores and bolster their military presence as they expanded their influence worldwide.
At the heart of this naval resurgence stands the Constitution Class Battleship, now the stalwart pillar of the Union Fleet. The initial twelve of these formidable vessels were constructed in the waning years of the Ore War. Their primary mission was to navigate the nation's numerous expansive rivers and unleash devastating firepower upon Confederate defenses. These battleships also played a pivotal role in troop transportation, their mighty paddlewheels equally adept at maneuvering on open seas. Today, a multitude of Constitution Class Battleships, alongside their counterparts, ensures that the Federated States can fulfill their manifest destiny.
Complementing these battleships are squadrons of frontline cruisers, meticulously engineered to withstand direct confrontations with rival fleets. The Yorktown, Intrepid, Reliant, and Lexington Class Cruisers, all equipped with powerful paddle wheels, combine agility with relentless firepower as they unleash a torrent of shells upon their adversaries. In a strategic role, the Akron Observers tirelessly stand vigil, scanning both the skies and the waves, ever watchful for signs of impending threats to their squadrons. Additionally, they serve as invaluable long-range observers, guiding the gun crews aboard their respective vessels with precision.
The Farragut Frigates, though small in stature, hold a pivotal place within Union fleets. These maneuverable vessels excel at executing lightning-fast raids against enemy squadrons or, when amassed in formidable numbers, against larger adversaries, including battleships.
