The Celestian Empire's Navy is a brainchild of Empress Shinzua, who, as Speaker of the fleets, swiftly expanded her control to encompass all aspects of naval warfare, in addition to her originally more mundane areas of responsibility. The Empire has earned its reputation as a global naval powerhouse, particularly following its resounding victories at Tsushima and Myeongnyang during the Anglo-Russian Korean Expedition. While all coastal nations within the Empire independently design, construct, and crew their sea-going vessels, they ultimately serve the overarching authority of the Blazing Sun. Warships hold a place of great pride and honor within the Empire, and the necessity of deploying them to expand their borders has been met with enthusiasm by the Empire's Admiralty.
The Chinese warships constitute the largest contingent within the Empire's naval forces. Equipped with prow-mounted chemical flame cannons known as Huoqiang, these vessels are formidable in any conflict. Chinese ships form the nucleus of the Empire's Battlefleets. The cruisers of Chinese origin mount the deadly Huoqiang, complemented by a combination of heavy guns and rockets. Crews aboard the Shanghai frigates are extensively trained to operate in large squadrons and can coordinate attacks with devastating efficiency. Leveraging its abundant workforce, China's shipyards can produce a substantial number of cruisers and frigates, granting them dominance in naval affairs, rivalled only by Japan's elite vessels.
