Us Army M1 57mm Anti-tank Team
The 57mm M1 anti-tank gun was a near-copy of the British QF 6-pounder, which was also used by some American units. Introduced in 1943, it quickly became a staple of the US Army’s anti-tank defenses.
After experiencing the shortcomings of the 37mm gun in North Africa, where it struggled to penetrate German armor, the US Army adopted the M1. By mid-1944, it had become the standard anti-tank gun, seeing extensive action in both Italy and Northern Europe. With significantly improved penetration power, it played a crucial role in countering enemy tanks.
In Bolt Action, the M1 can be included in Artillery Platoons as a Medium Anti-Tank Gun. It can be towed by most vehicles, allowing for quick repositioning on the battlefield as needed.
