The Sd.Kfz 250/1 was a light half-track used extensively by German reconnaissance and headquarters units during World War II. It was a shortened version of the widely deployed Sd.Kfz 251 and just as versatile, serving as a base for multiple specialist variants. With room for six personnel including the driver and co-driver, it was well-suited for fast deployment and mobile operations, armed with two pintle-mounted MG34 machine guns—one forward-facing and shielded, the other covering the rear and airspace.

This kit builds the original 'Alte' version, which saw continuous service throughout the war despite the introduction of the more modern 'Neu' version in late 1943. The Alte remained a staple of German mechanised forces across all fronts, valued for its compact size, reliability, and ability to adapt to various battlefield roles such as cable-laying, ammunition transport, and radio operations.

Included in the box are components to build one of three variants: the standard Sd.Kfz 250/1, the prototype anti-aircraft Sd.Kfz 250/4 with twin-mounted MG34s, or the Sd.Kfz 250/7 mortar carrier equipped with an 8.1cm infantry support weapon. Also included are full-colour waterslide decals, Bolt Action stat cards, an assembly and painting guide, and vehicle damage markers. This model adds depth and flexibility to any German Bolt Action force, whether you're recreating mobile HQ units or frontline recon patrols.
