The Sd.Kfz 251 half-track, commonly referred to as the 'Hanomag' after its manufacturer Hannoversche Maschinenbau AG, was the standard German armoured personnel carrier used throughout World War II. Reliable and highly adaptable, it served as the basis for many specialised variants. One such version was the Sd.Kfz 251/9, nicknamed the ‘Stummel’ (‘Stump’) due to its short-barrelled 7.5cm gun.

The Sd.Kfz 251/9 was designed to provide mobile fire support to Panzergrenadier units. Armed with a short L/24 low-velocity 7.5cm gun, it delivered effective high-explosive firepower directly where infantry needed it most. These vehicles were assigned to the heavy gun companies of Panzergrenadier regiments, offering the means to break enemy defences when more heavily armoured vehicles such as StuGs were unavailable or unable to reach the front in time.

Carrying 52 rounds for its main gun, along with two machine guns for air and close-quarters defence, the Stummel balanced mobility and firepower effectively. This model is ideal for Bolt Action players looking to enhance their German mechanised infantry forces with authentic fire support. The box contains all components needed to build a Sd.Kfz 251/9, full-colour waterslide decals, stat cards, an assembly and painting guide, and vehicle damage markers for use in your games.
