Wattle Fences

Wattle fencing has a long history, with examples of this simple and versatile construction found across many periods and cultures. From ancient Egypt to Celtic, Viking, Saxon and medieval communities, woven fences were used to organise farmland, protect settlements and define the spaces around homes. Their rustic appearance makes them a natural fit for historical tabletop environments.

Each frame contains a selection of fence sections in two lengths: three straight 16cm sections and five straight 8cm sections. There is also one short 8cm gate section and eight fence posts per frame. This variety gives you flexibility when laying out your scenery, whether you want to create long boundaries or smaller enclosed areas with a defined entrance.

Rather than repeating the same woven pattern throughout, every section features its own individual sculpt. This variation helps create a more organic, less uniform appearance across your tabletop. The kit is particularly suited to Pillage, historical miniature wargames and fantasy settings that call for village or countryside scenery.
