Rus Warband

Designed as an ideal entry force for Pillage and other skirmish systems, the warband blends lightly equipped fighters with heavily armed veterans, creating a flexible army capable of responding to a wide range of battlefield situations. Whether launching surprise attacks, defending valuable trade routes or leading daring expeditions, these warriors are ready for action.

Light infantry provide speed and manoeuvrability, while the armoured warriors form the dependable core of the force. A dedicated warlord and standard bearers add character and leadership, and the archers or slingers deliver valuable ranged support to soften enemy formations before combat begins. The result is a balanced collection that can easily be expanded into a larger Rus army.

• 18 unarmoured warriors.
• 12 armoured warriors, including a warlord and standard bearers.
• 6 archers or slingers.
• An excellent starter force for Pillage and other historical skirmish games.

Offering an effective balance of mobility, resilience and ranged support, the Rus Warband is an outstanding foundation for building a characterful Rus force on the tabletop.
