As part of Britain’s ongoing efforts to harness Rift-tech for superior battlefield capabilities, a relatively minor research line led to a major breakthrough: the Meteor rocket and its dedicated tank-mounted launcher. The discovery of a metal-degrading enzyme capable of rapidly weakening armour plating inspired the development of ceramic-tipped rockets designed to break down enemy armour in successive strikes.
The Meteor rockets are most effective when fired in a staggered volley, with early rounds delivering the enzyme to make the armour brittle, allowing follow-up armour-piercing cores to punch through and incapacitate the crew inside. This innovative system significantly boosts the anti-armour effectiveness of British forces.
Mounted on the heavily armoured Churchill chassis, the Meteor system is a formidable threat to enemy forces. Its devastating power makes it a high-priority target, vulnerable to focused fire or flanking manoeuvres. To maximise its impact, ensure the Churchill Meteor is supported by infantry or weapon teams to guard its sides and maintain a strong firing position.
