Cylindrical sections can add substantial volume and definition to a scratch-built project. With its 5 mm diameter, the 5 mm Round Tube Plasticard Profile provides a larger tubular section for creating pipes, supports, mechanical components and other structural details. Made from ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), it is suited to a wide range of modelling and scenery projects.

ABS combines strength and durability with easy workability, making it practical to cut and adapt during construction. The consistent round profile can be used on its own or combined with other Plasticard shapes to create custom assemblies, structures and detailed scenery elements.

Its thermoplastic properties also allow the material to be reshaped using a suitable heat source when a project calls for a curved or otherwise modified section. For bonding ABS components, cyanoacrylate adhesive is particularly suitable. White PVA-type glue can also be used, although it requires a considerably longer drying time.
