With its 15 mm diameter, this round tube profile provides a substantial building material for larger-scale structures, while retaining the precision and consistency expected from Plasticard profiles. Made from ABS plastic, it combines durability with the ease of working required for modelling, construction and conversion projects.
The tubular shape makes it especially useful for creating pipes, conduits and other cylindrical structures. The profiles can be cut to the required length and incorporated into more elaborate builds, including assemblies made with ABS sheets and other Plasticard profiles.
ABS plastic is widely appreciated in modelling for its useful balance of mechanical strength and workability. It also has thermoplastic properties, allowing its shape to be modified with a suitable heat source when a project calls for a different form.
For assembly, cyanoacrylate adhesive is recommended for ABS plastic. White PVA glue can also be used, although it requires more time to dry. With its larger diameter, this profile provides a practical material for adding substantial cylindrical elements and dimensional details to modelling projects.
