When building custom scenery or adding structural details to a model, precise materials make scratch-building much easier. The 3 mm Flat Plasticard Profile consists of straight ABS plastic strips designed for modelling projects where clean, consistent dimensions are useful. ABS is widely used in modelling thanks to its durability while remaining relatively easy to work with.
Each strip measures 3 mm wide and 1.5 mm thick, providing a flat, uniform section that can be cut and adapted to the requirements of your build. The material is suitable for creating structural elements, reinforcing constructions or adding smaller details to scenery and models.
ABS also has thermoplastic properties, allowing its shape to be altered with suitable heat sources when a project calls for curved or specially formed sections. For bonding, cyanoacrylate adhesive is well suited to ABS plastic. White PVA-type glue can also be used, although it takes considerably longer to dry.
