Whether you are scratch-building scenery or adding custom details to a model, straight plastic profiles provide a simple way to create clean, consistent structures. The 4 mm Flat Plasticard Profile is made from ABS plastic and can be cut, shaped and incorporated into a wide range of modelling projects.
Made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), the material combines durability with ease of use. ABS is widely used in modelling and is also used to manufacture LEGO components. Each profile has a 4 mm width and 1.5 mm thickness, giving you a flat, uniform section that can be adapted to the dimensions required for your build.
The material also offers thermoplastic properties, allowing its shape to be modified with suitable heat when a project calls for curved or specially formed pieces. For assembly, cyanoacrylate adhesive is particularly suitable for ABS. White PVA-type glue can also be used, although it requires a longer drying time.
