For builds that require a more substantial structural section, the 5 mm Square Tube Plasticard Profile provides a consistent 5 x 5 mm geometry for custom modelling work. Made from ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), these profiles can be cut and adapted for scratch-built models, scenery and a wide variety of construction projects.

The square section creates defined edges and clean corners, making it useful for beams, frames, supports, braces and structural elements. Profiles can be cut to the required dimensions and combined with other Plasticard shapes to create more elaborate assemblies. ABS offers a practical combination of strength and durability with easy workability, making it straightforward to adapt during a build.

ABS is also thermoplastic, so its shape can be altered with a suitable heat source when a project calls for a specific adjustment. For bonding, cyanoacrylate adhesive is particularly suitable for ABS plastic. White PVA-type glue can also be used, although it requires a longer drying time.
