Some modelling details benefit from a profile whose shape already provides definition and relief. The 2 mm Double-T Plasticard Profile features a distinctive double-T section and is made from ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). This material is widely used in modelling thanks to its combination of strength, durability and ease of handling.
Measuring 1 x 2 mm in section, the profile provides a fine, consistent format that can be cut to the required length and incorporated into custom constructions. Its double-T geometry creates defined edges and a regular shape, while allowing the profile to be combined with Plasticard sheets or other profiles to build detailed structures and customised assemblies.
ABS also has thermoplastic properties, so its shape can be modified using a suitable heat source when a project requires a specific adjustment. For bonding, cyanoacrylate adhesive is particularly suitable for ABS plastic. White PVA-type glue can also be used, although it requires a longer drying time.
