Rlm 02 Rlm-grau (1938) 17 Ml.
High-quality lacquer-based paint with a superior chemical formulation and color accuracy compared to other brands on the market.
Easy to apply with an airbrush, it adheres perfectly to surfaces and dries to a smooth finish. It provides excellent durability and withstands all types of weathering products.
It can be thinned with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners designed for lacquer-based paints.
This paint represents a color variant listed in the 1941 edition of the L.Dv. 521/1 regulation color chart.
Used for painting the interior surfaces of Luftwaffe aircraft from around 1935 until the end of World War II, this color was officially replaced by RLM 66 in the summer of 1944.
It was also the standard color for Luftwaffe combat and training aircraft in 1935-1936 and remained present in this finish even in the middle of the war.
From late 1939 to around mid-1941, it was used as a camouflage color for the upper surfaces of Luftwaffe fighters and heavy fighters before its role was reduced to mottle patterns.
It closely matches BS381C/389 camouflage beige ("Hemp"), which was applied to the upper surfaces of RAF Nimrod patrol aircraft, Canberra PR.9 reconnaissance planes, and Victor and VC10 tankers from the early 1980s until their retirement from service.
