Light Stone No.61 (BS381) 17 Ml.
This high-quality lacquer-based paint features an advanced chemical formula and superior color fidelity, outperforming other brands on the market. It flows smoothly through an airbrush, adheres evenly, and dries to a soft finish. It works well with all types of weathering products.
This versatile shade has seen extensive military use. Initially applied as the base camouflage color in the British Army’s Caunter Scheme, it was used in North Africa and the Middle East from July 1940 to October 1941. From October 1941 to October 1942, it served as the overall color for British vehicles in North Africa, often with local additions of disruptive colors.
The color returned in 1945 as the standard finish for vehicles in the Middle East and North Africa, paired with Deep Bronze Green for vehicles in the Persian Gulf region by 1962. From 1972, it became the base color of BATUS vehicles. It was also widely used during the 1990-1991 Gulf War and the 2003 Iraq War.
In addition, it served as one of the upper camouflage colors on Syrian MiG-17F and MiG-21 fighters from the late 1960s (post–Six Day War) to the early 1970s.
For best results, thin with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or any suitable thinner for lacquer-based paints.
