The Tiger II, often referred to as the "King Tiger" or "Royal Tiger" by Allied forces, was one of the most formidable tanks of World War II. Evolving from the fearsome Tiger I, it was engineered to dominate the battlefield with unmatched armor and firepower. Introduced in 1944 and deployed on both Eastern and Western fronts, its limited numbers and late entry prevented it from changing the course of the war, but its presence left a lasting impression.
Armed with a long-barrelled 8.8cm gun, the King Tiger could destroy any Allied tank at distances over 2.5 kilometers with remarkable accuracy—far beyond the reach of any Allied tank weapon. In Bolt Action, it is categorized as a Super Heavy Tank, equipped with a powerful anti-tank gun, and makes a formidable addition to Armoured Platoons. It is also fully compatible with Achtung Panzer!, the close-quarters tank combat game, with specific rules found in the core rulebook.
The box includes a 1/56th scale hard plastic King Tiger with parts to build either the Henschel or Porsche turret variant. It comes with a detailed German tank commander, a full-colour assembly and painting guide, waterslide decals, and a set of damage markers to enhance your gameplay. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, offering hobbyists a rich building and customization experience.
