The Panzer II, officially known as the Panzerkampfwagen II, was a German light tank that saw widespread service at the beginning and throughout World War II. Deployed across multiple fronts—from Poland and France to North Africa and the Eastern Front—it was armed with a 20mm KwK 30 L/55 autocannon and a co-axial machine gun. Its compact size and reliability made it a valuable reconnaissance and support vehicle during the early years of the conflict.
This model can also be used to represent the Panzer II Ausf. L, known as the “Luchs” (Lynx). While the Luchs featured some differences in track and wheel design, the overall silhouette remained close to the standard Panzer II. Designed specifically for reconnaissance, the Luchs offered better performance and mobility, earning its place in fast-moving armoured divisions during late-war operations.
This set includes a resin Panzer II tank, metal detail components, and a metal crew figure. Also provided are full Bolt Action stat cards, including special rules for fielding the Luchs variant. Classified as a light tank with an armour value of 8+, it benefits from the Recce rule, making it ideal for agile battlefield maneuvers and evasive engagements against heavier enemy forces.
