Measuring 8 × 4 mm, this U-shaped Plasticard profile provides a substantial structural section while remaining easy to work with for detailed modelling projects. Its hollow geometry can be used to create frames, edging, reinforcement and architectural features where a consistent recessed section is useful, from scenery and dioramas to scale models.

Made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), the profile can be easily cut, shaped and bonded to match the requirements of a build. ABS is also a thermoplastic material, meaning its shape can be altered using different heat sources when a project calls for a customised curve or form.

ABS profiles are widely used for modelling, dioramas, wargaming scenery and architectural models. Their regular section makes it easier to build clean, repeated structures, while the ready-made U shape avoids having to construct a recessed profile from several separate strips. For bonding ABS, cyanoacrylate adhesive is recommended. White glue can also be used, although it requires considerably more time to dry.

Each profile is 250 mm long. Due to the cutting process, the ends may show some deformation and the U-section may not form a perfectly right angle. For this reason, each pack contains 5 + 1 profiles, including one additional piece to account for this characteristic.
