When a project calls for clean cylindrical details, the 3 mm Round Tube Plasticard Profile provides a consistent shape that can be cut and adapted to suit a wide range of modelling builds. Made from ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), these tubular profiles are designed for scratch building, custom scenery and detailed modelling work.
ABS is widely used in modelling thanks to its combination of durability, strength and ease of handling. The round tube section is particularly useful for creating pipes, rods, structural details and other cylindrical elements while maintaining a regular geometry throughout the build.
The material also offers thermoplastic properties, allowing its shape to be modified with an appropriate heat source when a project requires a particular curve or adjustment. For bonding ABS, cyanoacrylate adhesive is the recommended option. White PVA-type glue can also be used, although it takes considerably longer to dry.
