When a model calls for a clearly defined surface element without adding unnecessary bulk, this 3 mm-wide uPVC profile provides a practical balance of scale and visibility. Its slim 0.5 mm thickness makes it easy to integrate onto model surfaces, while the wider section gives strips, borders, panels and structural details a distinct and consistent appearance.

Product Details

The profile can be cut and sanded with ease, allowing it to be shortened or shaped to suit the construction at hand. Its precise, even geometry is particularly useful when a project requires several matching elements, helping maintain a consistent finish across the model.

Manufactured from uPVC (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride), the material offers good resistance to degradation and wear in both indoor and outdoor applications. It has very low thermal and electrical conductivity, is resistant to acetone and can be readily painted with modelling paints.

This versatile Plasticard can be used for fantasy and military modelling, slot car conversions, scale model construction and scratch-building. For assembly, the profiles can be bonded with cyanoacrylate adhesives or Plastic Skull Glue. Each pack contains 10 profiles measuring 250 mm, ready to be adapted to detailed construction and custom modelling projects.
