The Humber Armoured Car was a key reconnaissance vehicle used by British and Commonwealth forces throughout World War II. Tasked with scouting ahead of armoured divisions, it excelled in locating enemy positions and probing weak spots. Whether navigating the arid deserts of North Africa or the urban streets and countryside of Europe, the Humber spearheaded Allied advances with confidence and agility, often engaging light vehicles and infantry in skirmishes.
Designed to replace the older Humber Light Reconnaissance Car, this upgraded version offered enhanced firepower and protection. Early models featured a 15mm gun alongside a 7.92mm Besa machine gun, while later variants like the Mk IV replaced the 15mm with a powerful 37mm M5 or M6 anti-tank gun. This upgrade allowed the Humber to deal more effectively with armoured threats. Its widespread use in theatres from the Western Desert to Northwest Europe and Burma is a testament to its effectiveness and reliability.
This plastic kit includes one Humber Armoured Car model, a Bolt Action stat card, a Bolt Action order dice, full-colour waterslide decals (British, Commonwealth, and Polish options), an assembly guide, and vehicle damage markers. The vehicle is also fully compatible with "Achtung Panzer!", the game of close-quarters tank combat. Model supplied unassembled and unpainted.
