Sherman Firefly Vc

A variant of the American Sherman, the Firefly quickly became one of the only British tanks capable of taking on the formidable Panther and Tiger at standard combat ranges. Recognizing its threat, German tank and anti-tank gun crews were ordered to prioritize Fireflies as primary targets. Between 2,100 and 2,200 units were built before production ceased in 1945. On the battlefield, they were often referred to as “Charlie” tanks due to the "C" designation marking their upgraded armament. By D-Day, enough Fireflies were available to issue one per troop, providing the British with a reliable answer to the powerful German tanks.

As with all our plastic vehicle kits, the Firefly comes with a full-colour waterslide decal sheet, offering various unit insignias, tank names, and other identifying markings for added realism. This vehicle can also be used in "Achtung Panzer!", the game of close-quarters tank combat. Model supplied unassembled and unpainted.
