Based on the ubiquitous Universal Carrier, or Bren Carrier, the Wasp was a modified version equipped with a flamethrower, dreaded by enemy forces! These compact yet fearsome vehicles were deployed by Armoured and Infantry divisions, with up to six assigned to independent machine gun companies, though they typically operated in pairs for maximum battlefield impact.
The Wasp Flamethrower Carrier combined mobility with fiery devastation, capable of surprising and clearing heavily defended enemy positions. Its two-man crew – a driver and flamethrower operator – could maneuver swiftly while unleashing powerful jets of flame, spreading panic among opposing forces and providing vital support to Allied troops.
