Developed under pressure as war loomed, the Crusader Mk I/II became one of the key British cruiser tanks of the North African campaign. Designed for speed and agility, it was ideal for flanking maneuvers and deep strikes into enemy lines – a modern interpretation of traditional cavalry tactics applied to armoured warfare.
The Crusader was initially armed with a 2-pounder main gun, later upgraded to a 6-pounder, and also featured a coaxial machine gun. The Mk I variant included a small hull-mounted turret with a Besa machine gun, although crews often chose to ignore or remove it entirely due to its limited usefulness. In the Western Desert, the Crusader’s high speed and decent armour made it a staple of British armoured formations, well-suited to the highly mobile nature of desert warfare.
This kit includes one resin and metal Crusader Mk I/II tank, a Bolt Action order dice, damage markers, a full-colour waterslide decal sheet, and a Bolt Action stat card. Whether you're recreating daring desert skirmishes or building a historically accurate British force, this model offers mobility, firepower, and iconic design all in one. Models supplied unassembled and unpainted.
